SCHOOL GROUP SCREENINGS

Watching short films is a great way to connect tamariki with our New Zealand stories and culture. We are pleased to offer special screenings of the Whānau Friendly section of the Show Me Shorts programme to primary and intermediate school teachers at schools and cinemas nationwide.

THE FILMS

The team at Show Me Shorts are experts at curating collections of short films and presenting them to adults and children alike. We even have a team of pint-sized programmers who help bring an authentic kids perspective to the selection process.

The films for this section of the programme will be announced on 6 September. We can promise a high quality selection that balances fun and diversity with educational value. Including both New Zealand and international titles. The films will have something for people of all ages, but will be most suitable for 7-12 year olds. The screening will be rated G or PG and run for approximately 45-65 minutes.

SHORTS IN SCHOOLS

Kids love short films and the easiest way to introduce them to this wonderful and accessible storytelling form is with their friends and teachers at school. That’s why we can bring a special selection of Whānau Friendly short films directly into your school.

We offer a programme of six short films, curated with ages 7-12 years in mind. One of our friendly and qualified team members will deliver the programme to your students, and give an interactive presentation that is both inspiring and educational.

The cost of this programme will vary depending on your location and school size. A minimum of 100 students is required and you must have a projector and speakers available for us to connect to.
