The People’s Choice!

The people have spoken. The winner of the Wendy’s People’s Choice Award is: Coconut.

Coconut is a buddy/road movie starring Charlie Bleakley (Scarfies) and Cohen Holloway (Good for Nothing). It was a clear favourite with audiences laughing loudly at the outrageous situation these two get themselves into. Show Me Shorts Festival Director Gina Dellabarca said

“It’s great to see a local comedy acknowledged with this award.”

Wendy’s spokesperson Joanne Hall says,

“Wendy’s is proud to the sponsor of the People’s Choice Award for this years’ Show Me Shorts festival and was thrilled to announce Coconut as the crowd favourite.”

Four audience members who voted have also won prize packs courtesy of Wendy’s and Mediaworks. These winners hail from Wellington and Auckland and have been notified by email.
