Iranian Women Short Film Nights

Show Me Shorts presents a night of short films made by Iranian women. Join us to celebrate the cinema of Iran with this vibrant collection full of lush imagery, insight into other worlds, and bold women breaking down stereotypes!

There are eight short films by top Iranian filmmakers:
  1. Gaze by Farnoosh Samadi
  2. Lady with Flower Head by Sara Tabizade
  3. The Fried Fish by Leila Khalilzade
  4. Limbo by Ghasideh Golmakani
  5. Hanged by Roghyeh Tavakoli
  6. The Dérive by Tanin Torabi
  7. Ascribed Achievements by Samaneh Shojaei
  8. Red Dress. No straps by Maryam Mohajer

This is an informal and fun event, and all are welcome. The screening takes place in the upstairs function room. All films screen in the Farsi language with English subtitles. Total run time is approx 86 minutes. No allocated seating, so first in best dressed. The bar will be open with food and drink available for purchase.
