We’re excited to announce the full programme of the 12th edition of Show Me Shorts Film Festival! This year we are showcasing 55 superb short films from New Zealand and around the world, at 26 cinemas nationwide from 28 October.
This year we are bringing 48 spectacular films to 23 cinemas across New Zealand that demonstrate the exceptional levels of talent, patience, passion and crazy ideas of the film making community. Here is a selection of 6 films that will compete in the 11th annual Show Me Shorts Film Festival, take a look.
The winning films were announced in style at the Auckland Opening Night and Awards Ceremony at The Civic. From a field of nearly 1000 entrants to 46 selected films to 8 award winners, these films are truly outstanding achievements in filmmaking.
Film reviewer and presenter Francesca Rudkin discusses three films from this year’s festival. These beautifully crafted shorts tie in themes of familial love in the face of a wide range of adversity: from coming-to-terms with coming-of-age to inter-generational socio-economic issues to vertical discrimination.
We’re pleased to announce a few of the great shorts that will be making their premieres at the Show Me Shorts Film Festival this November. Click through to find out more and stay tuned for the full programme launch on October 20!
